Happy Halloweeeeeeeen!!

One of my favorite days of the year! I get to wear orange and black striped tights to work, eat tons of candy, and see adorable children in costumes. Also I'm keeping up a tradition I started for myself when I moved into my current house 7 years ago of watching Hocus Pocus and ordering Pizza Hut. BEST NIGHT EVER!!

Today is also my little sister's 25th birthday. TWENTY-FIVE. She's old and I'm OLDER. waahhhhh. But We always have a great time together and I wish her the BEST birthday ever! (Though I guess it can't be that great if I'm not there to celebrate with her.) HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELSEA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRISTAN!

 Today my little brother turns 21. It seems like just yesterday Chelsea and I were going to visit our new baby brother in the hospital.

He had the most beautiful curls as a child. His hair was long enough that we could put it in pigtails - which of course we did after putting him into one of Chelsea's old dresses and then we went around calling him Tristina for the rest of the day. Ahhh siblings, we're so nice to each other.

But seriously, Tristan has some great hair. You can do almost anything with it. Make it look like Wolverine even.

My brother has made some mistakes along the way. There was one time he shaved off one eyebrow for a dare.

Thank God for eyebrow pencils. Tristan is one of the funniest people I know. He does fantastic impressions and can quote pretty much all of the Potter Puppet Pals videos word for word doing the voices perfectly. He's always willing to dress up in costume with me.

So Tristan, pretty soon, this will actually be true:

And in place of butterbeer staches, we'll have real beer staches!

Birthdays!!

My mother and I are exactly 26 years and 14 minutes apart. Having a kid on your birthday kinda runs in our family. (I have 2 cousins who had their first child on their birthday too!) My mom is the best. For the first 16 years of my life I know my mom's birthday got overlooked as she was making me cakes and planning my birthday parties (which were totally awesome btw.)

So I just wanted to let my mom know how much I love and appreciate her and that I couldn't share my birthday with anybody more important!

Also I think we both agreed that we can start lying about our age now. So happy 40th birthday Mom!!

Friday Musings #8 & 9

I realized I never did a Friday musings post last week. That's because I peaced out of work early to head to the wedding rehearsal. This has to be one of the most popular birthday weeks EVER. Not only do I know people with birthday's on March 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8^th (I've done a lot of celebrating this week people!), two of my friends had babies this week! One on the 3^rd and the other on the 7^th. I AM SO BEHIND IN MY KNITTING.

I'm going home to my parent's house tomorrow to look at venues for my 10-year high school reunion. I know I will be watching TV with my mom (she records lots of ABC Family and Hallmark movies for us to watch) so hopefully I can get some quality knitting time in then! Well, I'm off to eat some birthday cake because - oh yeah, it's my boss's 50^th birthday TODAY.
